10+ DIY Cinco de Mayo Decorations to Get Into The Festive Spirit

There is nothing quite like the feeling of the sun staying out a little longer to get me in the mood for bright colors, upbeat music, and—of course—plenty of tacos! Preparing for a fiesta is one of my favorite ways to welcome the season, and this year, I’m leaning into the joy of DIY Cinco de Mayo decorations to make my home feel truly vibrant. Whether you are hosting a big backyard bash or just adding a little sparkle to a family dinner, I find that handmade touches create a cozy, authentic atmosphere that feels so much more personal than a store-bought kit.

I’ve been spending my mornings gathered around the kitchen table with piles of crepe paper and paint, testing out crafts that are as relaxing to make as they are beautiful to look at.
