Plus, the internet is filled with an abundance of fantastic flower doodle guides and tutorials, making it easier than ever to learn various styles and techniques to adorn your bullet journal with these lovely blossoms.

What are flower doodles?

Flower doodles are simple, stylized drawings of flowers that use basic shapes like circles, lines, and ovals to create quick and easy floral designs. They are commonly used in bullet journals, sketchbooks, and creative planning.

Here are the ones I love:

This how-to tutorial for flowers is so easy, and the turnout is SO adorable, that you may end up wetting your plants. I mean seriously, that’s how excited I am about this one. Little delicate little how-to takes your everyday flowers, makes them teeny tiny, descriptively but scaringly simple, and too cute for words. Leaves, tulips, roses, and little orange buds make up this tutorial for a springy and positive addition to any future drawing. I’ll be picking these flowers for my bujo ASAP!

This is guaranteed to help you spruce up your spring and summertime drawings, and it’s easy too! Whether it’s for a theme in your bujo, a project at school, or just plain doodling, this will add ultimate cuteness, positivity, and a pop of fun to anything you want it to

When you want something simple but pretty

Flower doodles do not need to be complicated to look beautiful. Simple shapes are often the most visually pleasing.

I have always wanted to be able to draw a plumeria flower. Don’t know what they are? Take a peek at this how-to, I’m sure you see them everywhere. These flowers are intricate, and detailed, and I thought they required artistic ability I just don’t possess. This makes it easy, SO easy that I find myself drawing them all over my planner, on sticky notes at work, and in doodles in class. Plant one of these on your page this spring!

The ombre look of this flower once it’s all done is absolutely incredible! If you’re looking for the type of flower that goes in your hair, or that you’d symbolize almost just like a Hawaiian flower then this is the one for you. In just 6 simple steps you have yourself a pretty pink, lifelike, page planter-worthy adorable, and gorgeous flower. Simply tropical!

When you are just starting to draw

The goal is not perfection. It is getting comfortable with basic lines, curves, and petal shapes.

How To Draw Daisies

OOpsy DAISY, I’m giving you my favorite step-by-step flower doodle tutorial to date… Daisies are my spirit flower because they ALWAYS grow back, and that’s the kind of energy I need in my life. This is a simple and effective way to make a cute, springy, bright, and delicate daisy. I love this tutorial so much because of how simple it is. I can literally doodle fields of daisies in a matter of minutes, and they turn out perfect every time. My favorite!

Step By Step Sunflowers

This step-by-step guide on sunflowers makes me SO happy. The bright yellow colors are extravagant, it’s three-dimensional, and the tutorial itself makes it almost TOO easy to create something that looks so complex. I love the sharp leaves in this sunflower, and it’s more of a stand-alone drawing without the stem but you could customize it how you see fit. Big, bright, and beautiful!

Step By Step Daises

Here’s another take on a cute and delicate daisy that I am absolutely love! The turnout for this is a lot like the other, however, it does have a couple more variations, which makes the end product a little more detailed. Why draw a daisy one way when you can draw them both ways and pick your favorite? So incredibly cute, I’ll be drawing these for DAIS

When you want to decorate your journal

Small floral doodles can instantly make any page feel more creative and visually appealing.

Step By Step Terrarium Flowers

Say aloe to my little terrarium friends! I never thought I would be able to draw these adorable and unique terrarium plants. I’m left-handed, am the farthest thing from being artistically inclined, and have chicken scratch for handwriting. Let’s just say, these definitely don’t succ… In fact, with these easy steps and a little practice they were really looking quite sharp, if you know what I mean. There are three different jars, and flowers shown in this tutorial, each one adorably cute in its own way and full of life, and a modernly positive vibe. Suc-cute!

Colorful Flower Doodles

WHAT IN CARNATION? This tutorial on three different kinds of carnation flowers is too cute to pass up. What I love so much about these stunning and detailed flowers made easy is that they can be used for more than just spring and summertime decorations. They are used for celebration, can be colored, and used for Thanksgiving and fall decorations, or even Christmas. Each one is unique in its own execution and presentation but requires only four steps only. Don’t mind me, I’m living in carNATION this fall!

Flower Variations

These are simple, yet gorgeous renditions for flowers and I use them in so many different bujo themes, trackers, and doodles in class. There are four different kinds of flowers drawn, some with stems and others up close and personal. These are your classic everyday spring and summertime flower decorations, and I can’t believe how cute the turnout is for such simple steps. My favorite is definitely the third one, with the big body and cute little stem to go with it. Definitely check this tutorial out!

Easy Flower Doodles

These minimalist delicate-looking tiny flowers are absolutely ADORABLE, and require hardly any work or color at all to make! Minimalism can be a hard concept for some to grasp due to wanting things ever so detailed, but not me. I’m not artistically inclined, so if I have simple steps and easy executions to make cute flowers like these, I am so on board. Plus, the top of the half page has little jars to go with the flowers, and the bottom just shows the steps to the flowers themselves. So cute and simple!

When you need a relaxing creative break

Doodling flowers is a simple way to relax your mind while still doing something creative.

How To Draw Dandelions

How about this AMAZINGLY cute dandelion tutorial? In just three simple steps, you have a detailed, cute, and thriving beauty dandelion. But don’t worry, she takes it even further… If you make it to the fourth step, she shows an easy way to make it look like it’s blowing in the wind, with the delicate little seeds falling off the flower. This is perfect for springtime, and even though dandelions can be pesty for lawns they are among my top favorite flowers. Dandy as a dandelion!

I love anemone flowers, they look so complex! This four-step tutorial is so detailed and so perfect. Even the different shades of black are drawn and colored in ever so perfectly! Customizing the inside of the flower with the colors that you want would make for an absolutely gorgeous “custom” flower doodle. I love that she explains everything she is doing, and WHY she does it that way. Anemone’s made easy, for once!

Lavender is in and I am ALL about it! I swear by essential oils in my diffuser, and I add lavender to almost every grouping. This tutorial on lavender has that calming feel and also looks beautiful! This is such an easy and gorgeous spread, and adding lavender to most themes gives it a delicate and descriptive touch. Thistle calms you right down!

How To Draw Floral Wreaths

I am SO impressed with these floral wreaths! Whenever I try to make floral wreaths they always look messy, and for some reason, I have quite a hard time with them. Well, not anymore! This is a simple step-by-step tutorial, made for even the messiest of wreath drawers to clean up their act. I love how she has three different kinds including colors, shapes, and sizes of wreaths. I have never seen a summer-looking wreath, and I am obsessed with the pink one. These will be amazing looking in your bullet journal!

How To Draw A Peony

step by step tutorial for peony
Photo credit: Kratika Agarwal on Instagram

The peony is one of my favorite flowers and the one I struggle with the most when it comes to doodling… They are so complex, and there are a lot of steps and shadings (usually) that go into the drawing themselves to make the gorgeous drawing that is the peony flower. This could not be more pretty in pink and stunning. Not only that, it couldn’t be made for simply than it is! If you struggle with these she makes it happen in six steps, and it looks so lifelike and almost three-dimensional. How pungent!

Step By Step Roses

Try picking just one flower doodle and practicing it a few times instead of jumping between different styles. Repetition is what makes it easier.

Flower doodles are not about being perfect. They are about enjoying the process of creating something simple and visually calming.

With a little practice, even basic shapes can turn into beautiful floral designs that you can use anywhere in your journal or sketches.

Keep it simple, and let your creativity grow naturally.
