My son is learning about Greek Mythology in school right now…
He’s only 8, so they are very appropriate versions, but I love watching him be intrigued about other cultures and stories about different religions
This past weekend we visited the Grand Rapids Museum. We were looking at a bunch of different sculptures of people, and my son goes “mom, what if Medusa did this to all of them?”
It was such a creative question but he was genuinely worried and we had to talk it out for a little while
Well make no Apollo-gies, these greek salad pinwheels will overtake any other snack anywhere!
If you’re looking for a creamy, delicious, and flavorful appetizer than look no farther. I’m a huge fan of greek salads and wraps, and you really can’t go wrong with ordering them at a restaurant
Small as they may be, these are mighty authentic! Did you know traditional greek wraps aren’t even made with lettuce?
Mix up some Greek yogurt, lots of Feta cheese, red wine vinegar, garlic, and oregano, then toss together greek salad ingredients and there you have it
Mexican Pinwheel Recipe
Source: Bread Booze Bacon
Mexican food isn’t like any other food, it’s better!
If you know me then you know Mexican food has had a special place in my heart forever. I remember being in college and hitting up our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant every Friday night with my friends, and the pitchers of Margaritas were always an added bonus
It’s just so filling, colorful, and flavor packed. Plus, the price is always right and it’s extremely easy to order healthy so a night out doesn’t completely throw off my fitness goals
Now that I am a mom, I try my best to make things homemade when I can
I have a giant sombrero and when my kids get home from school or from practice I’ll be wearing it and they know tonight is going to be a Mexican night! My kids love that lol
I wanna taco about these Mexican Pinwheels because they are muy delicioso. These little guys taste as good as they look, and I love all of the colors
The best part about Mexican food?
You can customize the add-ins however you please. Whenever I bring these to a potluck I do chicken and steak pinwheels and just separate them with a little sign letting people know which is which
Like beans a ton? Add more
Not the biggest fan of pico? Add less
These are only 151 calories and they are packed with nutrients. They stay well in the fridge for days so they would be great for meal prepping
You won’t regret trying these out!
Cheddar Bacon Ranch Tortilla

I’ve been trying different pinwheel recipes every week and it’s going great!
Over the weekend when I am bored, okay, I wouldn’t call it bored I would call it the hour I get over the weekend when my daughter is napping and my husband does something with my son and I’m exhausted just sitting, but anyways…
I surf around Pinterest looking for what pinwheels I want to try during the week, and then on Sunday when I grocery shop I gather the ingredients in bulk so I can also make them for my husband and kids on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday
My kids and my husband are great critics, and we’ve been keeping track of the recipes we like best so after a couple of months we can start making those and move onto other recipes to try
I have to admit, I’ve made these on more than just one occasion and they are bacon us crazy!
My kids, my husband, and I all agreed in unison that these are just so good, restaurant like good. If you’re the kind of person that likes to add bacon to your bacon and are a ranch in a wrap fan you won’t be able to get enough of these!
They are extremely simple to make, full of baconey cheesy ranchy flavor, and look as good as they taste. While they aren’t the healthiest pinwheels on the list, they’re still packed with protein
Let’s be honest, I had you at bacon!

“Keep calm and eat Italian food”
Have you guys heard this quote? I just find it kind of funny because, well, I’m Italian, and I cannot keep calm 😜
Everybody knows that Italian blood is just a little more red than others, and we more easily see red because of this too
I’m Italian Italian… like my dad’s parents are fresh off the boat to America. My dad was the only one out of his five other siblings to marry a non-Italian woman
My mom is as Irish as they come, and as you can imagine my grandma did not like this at all
He always told me a famous story about a young Italian man telling his mom he has found the one and that he wants to marry her and have his mother meet her
He says “just for fun I’m going to bring three girls over and I want you to have small talk with them and tell me which one you think I love”
The Italian mom ends up saying “the one on the right”
Then the young man excitedly says “you’re right! How did you know that?”
And she says “because I don’t like her”
Now, I won’t say this story holds true to my family, but I won’t say it doesn’t either, LOL
You can’t go wrong with Italian pinwheels, they’re amazing!
The spread and the meats just give it enough kick to give it a little spice while the cheese, lettuce, and cream cheese tone it down and add a little creaminess to it. I love how easy these are to make, seriously
There are only five ingredients to make the pinwheels and then you can customize the pepper spread using any of the ingredients she lays out for you
They also make 21-36 pinwheels depending on how thinly you slice them, which is perfect for any event
Simple and tasty, I think olive these!
Buffalo Chicken Tortilla
Source: Sugar Apron
When you think Superbowl Sunday or big Friday night basketball game what type of food comes in mind?
For me, I always think of buffalo chicken. Buffalo Chicken wings, buffalo chicken tenders, buffalo chicken dip, and now these buffalo chicken tortilla pinwheels!
I’ve been doing my best to make food homemade when my family and I or my husband and his friends are watching the game
Hosting people is something I truly like and I think there’s something about making food for a group of people vs. just going out and quickly grabbing something
I actually prefer these to wings or tenders because they are easier to make, healthier, and just flat out yum!
These make about 35 pinwheels so there’s plenty for a group, but if you’re pleasing a bigger crowd this is the type of recipe that would be easy to double or triple
They are a lot less messy too, and people can grab and eat as they please without plates and silverware
These are sure to score a touchdown this football season!
Turkey Pinwheels with Cranberry Spread
Source: Eat Yourself Skinny
Poor turkeys, we only love them for their breasts
I’ll be honest, turkey is my go-to for keeping on track with my weight. I’m a huge fan of sandwiches, and salads can get extremely boring for me
Turkey sandwiches and wraps are something I’ve been eating since I started becoming health and waistline conscious in college and follow me into motherhood now
They are hearty, packed with flavor and make for a much more health-conscious choice than most other sandwiches or wraps that can get extremely fatty
These are my favorite go-to pinwheels for summer because the cranberry spread adds a burst of fruity flavor that screams summertime, and I cannot get enough!
I also love making these specifically for my kid’s lunchboxes because They are just the right size to fit into small baggies and are way more fun than the usual PB&J, and healthy too
Big fan of these 🙋🏽
Caesar BLT Roll-Ups
Source: Three Olives Branch
BLT’s are one of our families favorite summertime meals!
We are that family that loves to put our bacon on the grill, and the sandwiches are an easy way to cool off after a long summer day
I recently tried adding caesar dressing to our homemade BLT’s instead of mayonnaise because I have a good friend who has always eaten her classic sandwiches this way and holy Julius Ceasar it is a game changer!
It’s no surprise that I would be in search of a BLT pinwheel recipe that uses caesar salad dressing and this is such a yummy one!
To make Caesar BLT Pinwheel Roll-Ups, chop up the bacon, lettuce, and tomato…
Then mix with the cream cheese, Caesar, and Parmesan. Spread across tortillas, roll them into tight logs, and there you have it!
How easy is that? When you’re bacon in the sun cool off with this fun twist, or wheel of a recipe!
Roast Beef Tortilla Roll-Ups
Source: Food Lovin Family
“I smell like beef, I smell like beef”
Have you guys seen that adorable and funny youtube video?
Okay, if you haven’t then I need you to stop what you’re doing, head over to youtube and search “roast beef little girl” and then return to me afterward 😆
Now that we’ve all seen it, I’m not a crazy person anymore. Isn’t it so cute?
My husband loves roast beef, and I have recently found quite a liking for it too. The only time I had roast beef before meeting him was when my dad would bring home a Roast Beef and Cheddar from Arby’s
Remember when that was like the only thing on the menu? Or so everyone thought. I wasn’t very fond of that sandwich, but I wasn’t much of a complainer because the curly fries made it worth it
It wasn’t until I moved in with my husband that I tried deli roast beef and it’s actually quite good
He likes roast beef sandwiches in his lunch so I wanted to make sure I found a recipe that would not disappoint
Let me just say, he tells me he’d eat this “any day of the week” so if you or a loved one is a lover of roast beef, you won’t want to bypass this recipe
These are filled with roast beef, horseradish, cheese, and cream cheese, basically the perfect football snack or lunch pinwheel
Instead of “I’m thinkin Arby’s”, how about these!?
Chicken Taco Roll-ups

Ahhh Taco Tuesday
I grew up with every Tuesday being a taco day and I can still remember it vividly
I’d get home from school about 4 pm and my mom would have all sorts of ingredients out all over the kitchen counter while cooking up the ground beef, doing laundry, making us an after-school snack, etc… bless her heart
Now, here I am in that position and I wish even as a little one I would of thought to tell her thank you WAY more often. I’ll send her a text every time I’m about to lose it with all the things I have going on and tell her thank you for doing the same for me
Taco Tuesday is one of those things. The memories made sitting together as a family are worth it, and it’s overall a delicious and relatively healthy meal
What I LOVE about this recipe is that when the weekend comes around, we all want Mexican food again. There’s no way I’m getting all of the stuff out again and doing this on the weekend, I just don’t have the energy
Whether you are making these chicken taco roll-ups for lunch or as an appetizer or snack, you are going to love how simple and delicious they are
These are creamy, chickeny, cheesy pinwheels and overall just a great taste of Mexican food in a little pinwheel
They are a little too light for a dinner but are the PERFECT game day snack or lunch for your kids
These rollups will give you and your family something to taco about!
Source: Yellow Bliss Road
Being Italian and all we often times had spaghetti for dinner, and we would sprinkle parmesan cheese on top
My parents called parmesan cheese “stinky cheese” and we would be at the table asking to “pass the stinky cheese”
Fast forward to 7 years old and I’m at a friends house eating dinner over there for the first time
We ordered Hungry Howie’s pizza and they had parmesan cheese sitting on their table
I asked her dad to “pass the stinky cheese” and the entire family broke out in laughter. I was so confused and slightly embarrassed
The I kind of wish my parents would have ya know, explained that it isn’t the real name of the cheese. My kids call it stinky cheese too but don’t worry I have PTSD and I make sure they know the true name
I’ve met a lot of people who don’t like a lot of things, but I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like Chicken Parm. Have you?
It’s a classic dish with breaded chicken, cheese and tomato sauce usually served over pasta. It’s delicious, but it can take quite a bit of effort to prepare
Well not today, junior. That’s one of the things that make these chicken parmesan pinwheels so chicktastic… how simple they are!
It’s important to refrigerate these for a couple of hours, but the prep time aside from that is less than a half hour
Something else great about this recipe is it’s heavy enough to be a weeknight dinner meal, not just an appetizer, although trust me it would be a delicious app too
These parmesan chicken pinwheels really are a grate idea 😃
Cracked Out Turkey
Source: Plain Chicken
When making an appetizer for munching during a football game (GO MICHIGAN STATE) I like to make something that I know I’m 99% sure everyone is going to like…
I absolutely love to experiment with my family and try new things being the pinwheel master that I am, but when my husband and I are having friends over for a game it’s really not the time to be doing that
This recipe is THAT go to recipe
Cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, Ranch and turkey wrapped in a tortilla
I mean seriously, how could anybody not like it? Ranch is a gift from God. It really just is
Wings? Pass the ranch
Salad? Pass the ranch
Sandwich? Here’s some ranch
Crazy how versatile it truly is!
These cracked out turkey pinwheels are the ranch of pinwheels and can be used for anything. This is the recipe I always use for sporting events, game watching, a potluck, etc
It pleases a crowd, and the recipe makes an abundance too. I never have any leftover, and I get compliments on them all the time
Sometimes I’m even asked what restaurant I picked them up from, which I find to be one of the best compliments in the world
bRANCH out and make these asap!
Source: Carlsbad Cravings
These pizza pinwheels have definitely stolen a pizza my heart, maybe even the entire thing
Seriously, when you guys see these you’re going to lose it!
These mini rolled pizzas have layers of marinara, pepperoni, and cheesy goodness in every bite. Plus, they are so simple to make and possess my favorite trait…
You don’t have to plan ahead, you can roll out your dough and top it with the marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, or whatever other toppings you have on hand or you can even create BBQ Chicken Pinwheels if you so choose. We went that route and they were so freaking good
With the basic Pizza Pinwheel making method provided in this recipe, you can choose to do it the way that she does or make it fit your pizza priority. The possibilities are endless!
This is another one of those pinwheel recipes that can definitely be used for an appetizer or lunch but are heavy enough to have for dinner with a salad and your kids will absolutely love them
Let’s be real, I had you at pizza 🍕
Southwest Black Bean Pinwheels
Source: Connoisseurus Veg
It’s bean too long since I’ve incorporated black beans into my weekly lunch pinwheels, and I’m so happy I stumbled upon this recipe!
I think first and foremost I need to just say… these are 50, 50 calories per pinwheel. I can have 4 pinwheels and still have half a meal or a great big dessert left to eat and still be on track
Anytime I find a recipe as healthy as this that looks like it might be good I find it crucial to make because if I love it, why wouldn’t I make it weekly for my family and I?
Flour tortillas spirals are stuffed with zesty whipped black beans and toppings are all you need to make these scrumptious black bean pinwheels. That’s it…
So now we have a simple, cheap, and tasty recipe
She uses cilantro, spinach, red bell pepper, black olives, and scallions with this recipe and I would honestly suggest doing just the same the first time you make this recipe because it’s amazing
I have been making these pinwheels for myself to have for lunch during the week and it makes it so easy, almost too easy to keep on track calorie wise
Cool beans, man!
Puff Pastry Spinach and Artichoke Pinwheels
Source: House of Yumm
I have never been asked to leave anywhere for drinking too much, being rude, etc…
Okay, I have been kicked out of Applebee’s 😆
But there’s a perfectly good reason as to why. I didn’t do anything crazy on my 21st birthday. I drank with a couple of people at my best friends boyfriends house
Anyways, one thing lead to another and we had all decided it would be a great idea to walk to Applebee’s. This was my intoxicated idea because I could not stop thinking about spinach and artichoke dip
I forgot it was birthday and everything just a red blinking spinach and artichoke dip sign going off in my head. When we got there my friends and I were apparently loud and acting a fool, which really isn’t tolerated at Applebee’s, and shouldn’t be
We were asked to leave and I never got my spinach and artichoke dip!!
Now that I’m older and sober…
I have the wherewithal to find yummy recipes like these spinach and artichoke pinwheels and utilize them for my kitchen table and work lunch needs. And I’m here to tell you these are BETTER than spinach and artichoke dip with chips
Loaded with fresh spinach, artichoke, and lots of cheese and then baked inside a crispy pastry like a cinnamon roll, my goodness these are absolutely spintastic!
These only take about a half hour to make and will hold well refrigerated for days so you can just pop them into the microwave. Just like the dip and chips, this is the perfect appetizer, and our family has put them on the side with meat as well because my kids love them
Sit and spinach!
BBQ Chicken Pinwheels
Source: Jamie Cooks It Up
Is there anything BBQ chicken isn’t good with?
BBQ chicken pizza, absolute yum
BBQ chicken salad, a go-to of mine at any restaurant
BBQ chicken sandwich, I often make these homemade for my kids… they’re healthy, filling, and bursting with flavor
The list could go on and on but the one thing I love the most about BBQ chicken is that it takes the ordinary healthy chicken and gives it such a better taste!
We are big protein eaters in my house and when I’m at my most in shape I try my best to follow a high protein lower carb and lowest fat diet
For me, that works the best because I need to feel full and meats do that for me more than any other food group
These BBQ chicken pinwheels are just another example of BBQ chicken making something absolutely amazing. She incorporates a 30 Minute Pizza Crust recipe, rolls it all out, and then she adds some fabulous rotisserie chicken, bbq sauce and cheese
She then rolls the dough back up and slices them into pinwheels to bake. Voila!
It takes only an hour and you’ll have 21-25 savory, Barbequey, chickeny, cheesy, pinwheels on your dinner table. This is a much healthier option than BBQ chicken pizza and it’s guaranteed to taste just as good
If you want to add more ingredients like lettuce, ranch, onion, even pineapple, you could easily customize this recipe the way you want too!
This recipe is a definite keeper in my book!
Monte Cristo Pinwheels
Source: Kitchen Concoctions
Growing up in my house, Thanksgiving was all about relaxation, tv, and immediate family
We would wake up in our pajamas, stay in them all day, help my mom cook, watch plenty of tv, and then eat around 4. Then we would play games, maybe have a couple of glasses of wine, and go to bed
The trick was to never leave the house, and never leave pajamas
My husband’s Thanksgiving was totally different. He got up, got dressed in nice clothes, and went to his Aunt’s where he spent Thanksgiving with at least 30-40 aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, kind of how we do our Christmas
We have learned to compromise, and we do it my way 😉
Christmas is a busy day for us, we go from his family celebration to mine, and on thanksgiving, it is all about US. How do you guys celebrate your thanksgiving?
Whether you’re relaxing for the day with immediate family, or having a big family celebration, these Monte Cristo pinwheels will be a unique and yummy appetizer that family won’t be able to get enough of!
These baked Monte Cristo Pinwheels are made with sweet ham, turkey, tangy Swiss cheese and Triple Berry Fruit Spread
They are so sweet and savory and are the perfect go-to appetizer with a big Thanksgiving dinner. While being relatively easy to make and having a quick prep time, they still yield about 20 pinwheels
If you are headed to a big celebration this year I do suggest doubling up on the recipe, people are going to want more than one!
