For me, the most time-consuming part of setting up a new month is figuring out the cover page…

Once I decide on that, everything else seems to fall into place. I think it really sets the tone for the upcoming days and I love looking at other bullet journals to get inspiration. These April monthly cover ideas will help you get your theme figured out in no time! Whether you want something easy and minimal or you want a crazy watercolor spread, you’ll find it here

Here are the cover pages that caught my eye:

Who doesn’t love bullet journals and koalas?! While I haven’t seen one in real life, I know that they’re super cute… especially this one lol. I love how she filled in the blank space with watercolor flowers and leaves making it look like the koala is chillin in its natural habit. If you have an animal theme or anything floral, I’m sure you could take some inspiration from this cute cover. Keep koala and bujo on!

Going with a space theme in your bullet journal? If you are, this would be a great cover to try or pull inspiration from. I personally love how the planets surround the April font and I think it would love great even without the watercolor background. I’m not great at doodling or using watercolors yet so I’m definitely going to use the layout and apply my look / theme to it. Don’t just think about your upcoming month, PLANET!

Don’t worry, if you can’t actually fold origami, it’s a lot easier to just draw them. I love how they look like they’re hanging from the ceiling. Plus, the way the April font is set up… that’s definitely something I could do! Whether you do just one paper crane doodle or multiple, I think this cover would look amazing in your bullet journal. Fold your way to a brand new month!

The first thing I think when I see this monthly cover is “Mad Scientist”. The drawing is absolutely amazing and I love how they have the molecules in the background in a super light color so you don’t even see them at first. The longer you look at this spread the crazier the concoction gets! While I definitely won’t be drawing those beakers anytime soon, I do really like the molecule ideas and will definitely try to work them in if they fit with my theme for the month. I think Bill Nye would approve!
